Dear Deoxidized Community,
Since inception, Deoxidized has been a social community of builders who believe in creating something meaningful together. We’ve amplified the energy on the playa into our personal lives to create massive transformations in ourselves and our communities. In 2026, we’re taking the next step in this evolution. This year, Deoxidized is becoming a full-fledged social enterprise by sponsoring and buiding our first school in a much needed community abroad.
In partnership with buildOn, a global charity that has built more than 3,000 schools in underserved communities in third world countries, Deoxidized, thanks to a portion of your camp dues, has funded building our first partnered Deoxidized/buildOn school in the beautiful, but very poor rural area Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Here children go to school under trees and dilapidated cow structures subjecting them to the elements, impacting their ability to feel safe and learn. buildOn schools have lifted entire communities, providing a place for primary education, adult literacy and funding micro-grants for starting small businesses. Come join us to give a community hope and a future.
This is your invitation to join us on the first official Deoxidized + buildOn School Trek to break ground and begin building our school side by side with the community it will serve.

Just a few years from now, hundreds of children will have a better future because they learned in a school that exists because of you. Many of us feel the call to give back but are rarely presented opportunities to make real-world, meaningful change. Answer the call - join us in Guatemala.
